Rt. Hon. Mark Lancaster, UK Armed Forces Minister had a 3-day official visit to Ghana from Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th August 2019. The visit was aimed at strengthening the defense relationship between Ghana and United Kingdom.
Itinerary of Lancaster while in Ghana included:
1) Meeting the Vice President, His Excellency, Alhaji (Dr.) Mahamudu Bawumia and discussing the need for UK-Ghana defense and security relations to be strengthened given the internal and external security challenges being faced by Ghana.
2) Laying a wreath at the Veteran Association headquarters in honor of dead soldiers during the second world war.
3) Inspection of project funded by UK government being carried out by ECOWAS Zone F Multinational Maritime Coordination Centre.
He left Ghana this past Wednesday to continue his visits to other West African countries.
