Although body contortionists hold many historical roots in countries like Western Russia and Mongolia, bodies of all varieties have found their way to some pretty big stages. 

In countries throughout Africa, body men contortionists have taken on a new meaning during anew wave of soul expressionism and have brought light to the physical traumas of civil war and social strife. 

The Black male body in particular has grown in many eyes has a threat, when in effect Black and African men deserve as much love, shine, and positive affirmations as any other male counterparts. 

There should be no shame in embracing some fascinating attributes of the human body and these wonderful acts are just a few that have significantly shifted the narrative of how Black and African male bodies can truly shine. 

The Bonebreakers

Hailing from Conakry, Guinea, these four young men contortionists have brought some refreshing oversplits, and head busts to the game on this year’s season of America’s Got Talent.

 Fortunately, the performers were able to showcase their outstanding body breaking moves with a live audience before the COVID-19 quarantine took effect. And man! Mouths dropped all throughout the audience as they displayed their insane bone-breaking talents. 

These four live long friends have dedicated their education to circus school, practice in their normal lives, and continue to further their knowledge and understanding of how to maintain doing the impossible. 

These young men have decided that their life long work would make for a great example for young men contortionists and women back in their home country. And these seized the opportunity on one of the world’s biggest stages to do so! 

Papi Flex

In his audition that starts off with such grace and poise, Papi Flex refused to hold back in his first audition on Spain’s Got Talent. Then the judges on this season of  Britain’s Got Talent were in for a huge shock as his spooky makeup and wickedly cool full body knot stunned everyone in the room! 

There’s something about scary paint and an ominous silver box that really gets the crowd’s blood going. For Papi Flex, his craft means proving to himself his capability that he still reigns in the top as one of the best body contortionists in recent history. 

At just 26 years old, the Belgium native has done well to uniquely portray a positive, innovative, and enthralling body twisting act that blended classical music, the sublime, and outlandish moves! 

Frenchie Babyy

Appearing on stage, Frenchie Babyy had everything to prove to the world and to his family that lacked in giving him the support of his career choice. Frenchie Babyy has taken on his own path in the dance world through body contortionism. 

And it hasn’t been an easy path as his parents banished him from their lives and his performance was dedicated to showcasing and seeking approval and love from his folks. 

As a young and growing Black male role model, Frenchie Babyy has all the making for an insanely talented and different kind of body act. The Bay Area in California has definitely needed this introspective take on body movement. 

Listen y’all, this man popped his bones out and put them back into place, right in front of the judges’ eyes, and even had his body paint peeling by the end of his performance. He uses the beat of the music to his advantage and it truly shines. Frenchie Babyy transformed pain and abandonment into hope1
